The names of the six rooms recall the sericulture and weaving, two ancient crafts from Salento.
The original stone staircase of 17 steps, strikes and dominates the entrance. The interiors have the charm of the architectural elements of the past in dialogue with today’s solutions, result of the skills of the owners and of the intervention of the architects winners of the Concorso di Idee, who have furnished the rooms. They respected perspectives and volumes while preserving traditional features, but at the same time have given La Filanda a modern and dynamic look, making it an essential and exclusive residence. Contemporary design furniture handmade by Damiano Greco, a local craftsman, comfortable foam mattresses, blankets woven on ancient looms, toilet kit for an olive oil based bath.
All the rooms are air conditioned and have an independent heating system. They are equipped with fridge, safe-deposit box, flat screen TV, wardrobe, desk, bathroom with shower, bidet, hair-drier, laundry, and free bath products.
